Post Watch only works when facing down
Hi Folks, Newbee to the site and to the world of watches.

I have several pocket watches, one of which is confounding me.

I have taken the watch apart, cleaned it and oiled it, the movement works when the watch is facing down or vertical but when I put it on its back with the crystal facing up the movement stops

Any ideas?????

Welcome to our Forum :) You have a balance problem. Take the balance spring out and check the jewels, if its a jewelled movement, also check the pivots ( points ) that locate in the jewel holes
